A Louisiana native and alumnus of Louisiana State University, Russell holds a Doctorate of Business Administration from Capella University, a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence.

Russell’s professional journey began in the healthcare sector at Community Health Systems, but his true impact emerged in the live events arena with George P. Johnson Experience Marketing. There, he played a pivotal role in establishing the Tennessee arm of the GPJ team, demonstrating exceptional financial leadership and strategic insight. ​As CFO and COO at Live Redesigned, Russell directed a broad portfolio of operations spanning accounting, financial planning, investor relations, legal, and HR.
Today, as CEO of BLKBX, he is pioneering a new era in the creation and economics of design and production for live events, bringing visionary strategy, operational excellence, and expert precision to every endeavor.

His expertise is especially evident in projects like Justin Timberlake’s Man of the Woods Tour, where he played a pivotal role in translating bold artistic vision into cohesive, highly functional production design.
